Dream Kills
Dream Kills is a project that explores the destructive addiction to pursuing unrealistic dreams. Even as the pursuit of these dreams gradually consumes one's sense of self, the illusion of eventually achieving them makes it impossible to stop striving.
The work uses cigarettes and butterflies as central metaphors. The cigarette represents addiction, and the inability to quit despite knowing the consequences.
The butterfly represents the dream itself-an illusion that appears beautiful and fragile. Combined, the butterfly cigarette symbolizes the addictive pursuit of unrealistic dreams that ultimately destroys one's reality.
